Computation to me is still a very vague concept. Attending classes, I have learned a lot of technological art installations and my mind is always running through the complexity of the design and how it was executed. Even in my first week I feel like I can unweave its mechanisms but only with my visual understanding.
My interests lay in video game design, I am mostly in love with visual design and sound design melded with the storytelling. I feel like sounds can directly connect the mind to an intended visual and vice versa. Colors and the transition, the details and inputs required to add these transitions are all very precious to me.
Personally, I'm still not sure what I want to do this term. Maybe collect the aspects of visual storytelling and create a comforting interaction. Perhaps it is explorative with variable elements for each person to create their own final end piece?
My non-computational interests are materiality, color and texture of natural materials. It was my main takeaway from studying architecture as something I enjoyed greatly and did not want to end my explorations in it after I graduated from undergrad.
